How to quickly and easily cook delicious Bakhsh (also spelled: baxsh, bahsh ). It's a typical Central Asian Jewish dish. We present in this video the 'light' 'modernized' version i.e. much less fats than used traditionally, but our bakhsh still preserves it amazing taste!
For this recipe you will need:
1/2 pound of meat (beef, lamb or chicken breast) 2 cupfulls of rice 1/3 cupful vegetable oil 1 middle sized onion 2 bunches of coriander 1 tteaspoonful of salt a little ground balck pepper 1/2 a kettle of boiling water
This version of bakhsh is called 'daygee' (pers. ???? meaning cooked in a sause pen). As opposed to 'khaltagee' (?????) which is prepared in special cooking bags. God willing we shall make another video for bakhsh-i khaltagee.
